House of the Dragon’s newest episode sees the more youthful era of Targaryens changed via new actors.

The episode, which aired on Sunday (9 October), travels six years into the longer term with kid characters recast as youngsters and younger adults.

The brand new instalment sees Rhaenyra’s (Emma D’Arcy) sons Jacaerys and Lucerys, Alicent’s (Olivia Cooke) kids Aegon, Helaena, and Aemond, and Daemon’s daughters Baela and Rhaena being recast.

Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon’s eldest kid Jacaerys Velaryon is now portrayed via Harry Collett, taking on from younger actor Leo Hart.

The couple’s second-born son and the inheritor to Driftmark, Lucerys is now performed via Elliot Grihault.

Taking on from Ty Tennant, grownup Aegon Targaryen is performed via Tom Glynn-Carney.

His brother Prince Aemond Targaryen, who misplaced his eye within the final episode, is now performed via Ewan Mitchell, who replaces Leo Ashton.

Area of the Dragon episode 8’s Helaena Targaryen is now married to her brother-husband Prince Aegon Targaryen, and is portrayed via actor Phia Saban.

Episode 8 ended with a grand reunion of all the Targaryen circle of relatives as the show bid farewell to one of the main characters, King Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine).
